When will I know my results?
You won’t have to wait long for your IELTS test results.
You can preview your results on the Test Taker Portal. Depending on which IELTS test you have taken, you will get your results as shown below:

Your results will be available to view online after they are released, but should not be used as an official confirmation of your performance.
If you lose your Test Report Form or forget your test results, please contact your test centre.
Can you get IELTS results faster?
There’s no way to accelerate your IELTS results, but now IELTS on computer results are faster than ever and typically come within 2 days.
How long does my IELTS result take?
You won’t have to wait long for your IELTS test results. In fact, if you take IELTS on computer, your results will arrive typically within 2 days.
When will I get a physical copy of my results?
Your IELTS Official Test Center – Instituto Cultural Anglo-Uruguayo – will send you a paper copy with your IELTS test scores using the Test Report Form (TRF) by post or in person, 13 days after the test date for those who have taken the test on paper. Please allow at least seven business days to receive the results.
IELTS test results will not be communicated over the phone or via email.
Your Test Report Form (TRF) will be sent directly to the institutions you have registered.
Please note: those institutes that must see physical results will need an original copy of the Test Report Form (TRF). Photocopies will not be accepted.
Your IELTS Official Test Center: Instituto Cultural Anglo-Uruguayo can send up to five additional copies of your Test Report Form (TRF) directly to the institutions where you have registered (for example, universities, immigration offices, etc.). If you want them to send the additional copies, indicate the corresponding addresses when reserving your place for the exam.
Remember to indicate the full postal address of the institutions. Without a full address, it is impossible to check if institutions can access the IELTS test Report Form (TRF) verification service, which allows them to check your results once we have sent them electronically. If they cannot access this service, your Test Report Form (TRF) will be sent by postal mail.
Can I get additional copies of my IELTS test results?
If you want a recognized organization to receive another copy of your Test Report Form (TRF) in addition to the five copies offered, you must pay an administrative fee for each copy to be sent via airmail per copy to international destinations via courier.
In the first instance, you should contact your IELTS Official Test Center – Instituto Cultural Anglo-Uruguayo.

What does my IELTS test score mean?
What does my IELTS test score mean?
You will be graded with an IELTS score range of 0-9 for each section of the test, reflecting your proficiency in English.
Your Transcript of Records shows a score for each of the four skills (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, written expression, and oral expression) as well as an overall score. You can score full bands (for example, 5.0, 6.0, and 7.0) or score for half bands (for example, 5.5, 6.5, and 7.5) on each section of the test.

How long are my IELTS test results valid?
Organizations do not usually accept your results if they are over two years old unless you show that you have actively maintained your level of English or have improved it since you took the exam. IELTS partners cannot confirm the validity of test results if they are older than two years.
How can I request a new correction for my IELTS test?
You can request a new exam correction if you have not received your expected score. This is called Enquiry on Results. You can choose which sections of the exam you want to be corrected again, and you will have to request it at the centre where you took the exam.
This service has a cost, which will be returned to you if your score increases in any section of the test.
You must request a new correction within six weeks after the test date.

The outcome of Enquiry of Results (EORs) can become available on the same day as your application and up to 21 days after your application. The time it takes depends on several factors, including the number of sections you’ve asked us to re-mark. In case of no response after 21 days, please get in touch with us.
Can I retake my IELTS test?
There is no limitation to retake the IELTS test. You can book your place for an exam when you think you are ready.
Please note that your score is unlikely to increase unless you make a significant effort to improve your English before retaking the test. Visit TakeIELTS to take an exam test and assess your level.
Why haven’t I got my result within 2 days?
Please note that your results may come a bit later (you may have to wait up to 5 days). This happens when we need to confirm your ID or check your score is correct.
